Entrepreneurial thinking across generations.
Our entrepreneurial roots go back to 1948. What began with EURAS as a Munich industrial business laid the foundation for an entrepreneurial tradition that continued after the sale of the operating business, initially mainly through real estate and later through private direct equity investments.

The beginning
The founding of EURAS GmbH
On 1 April 1948, Otto Hübner Sr. and Otto Hübner Jr. founded EURAS GmbH in Munich. What began as the distribution of electric shavers soon developed into an industrial business of its own.
The company name, an acronym for “EURopäische RASierapparate” (European shaving appliances), marked the beginning of its own product development and manufacturing history.

From distributor to manufacturer
Develop. Manufacture. Improve.
Within a few years of its founding, EURAS was developing and manufacturing its own shaving, haircare and dental care appliances. Product development and production capabilities were built step by step, with manufacturing facilities in Munich and Stockdorf.
This period produced numerous products and patents that were also marketed internationally.

Growth & industrial strength
New products. New markets. New locations.
With new products, additional production facilities and international patents, EURAS grew into an established manufacturer. Its own designs were produced under the EURAS brand and for leading industrial partners.
In 1977, the acquisition of Wietek & Co. expanded the industrial base with additional production sites. Some of the properties acquired at that time remain in family ownership today.

04 · Mid-1980s · From industrial business to real estate investor
Real estate becomes the new focus.
The sale of the operating business in the mid-1980s marked the family’s transition from industrial operations to real estate investment. The properties and former production sites remained in family ownership.
The former factory premises were converted into commercial estates and have been actively developed ever since, alongside further real estate investments. Real estate remains a cornerstone of the family’s assets and investment activities today.
05 · Today · From real estate to direct investments
The investment focus broadens.
Building on this real estate foundation, the family’s investment activities have expanded to include direct private equity investments and selected strategic opportunities. For more than ten years, the family office has brought these activities together. Today, Hübner Invest continues this entrepreneurial tradition by investing its own capital alongside selected partners.
Our approach remains entrepreneurial: we assess opportunities independently, commit our own capital and take an active role where we see a credible path to value creation. Real estate continues to be a core focus, alongside private equity and selective strategic opportunities.
